Dying Fan Watches Episode IX Early | Today in Star Wars History (Nov. 29)

Today in Star Wars history, a dying fan watches The Rise of Skywalker weeks before release.

Fearing one of their patients will pass away before seeing the final instalment in the Skywalker Saga, staff at Rowans Hospice in Waterlooville, Hampshire, plead with Disney on social media to send them an early copy of the film.

Disney respond, dispatching a special courier with a plain black laptop loaded with The Rise of Skywalker.

The lifelong Star Wars fan is over the moon to receive such a gift, stating,

“I still can’t believe it. The only way I can describe it is that I feel like I have won a million pounds.”
